It is of God’s Mercy – Lam 3:21

‘’It is of the Lord’s mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not’’

God is merciful to his Children at all times. It is of His mercies that we are not consumed. God’s compassion cannot fail because they are new every morning according to Lam 3:22.

David recognized the Loving kindness of God that made him to cry to God for mercy in Psalms 51:1

‘’Have mercy upon me, O God, according to thy loving kindness; according unto the multitude of thy tender mercies blot out my transgressions’’.

God will hear the cry of our mercies today, He will arise and have mercy upon us in Jesus Name. Cry to God and say – Father have mercy upon me oh Lord according to thy loving kindness.

David went further and asked God not forget him nor cast him away according to Psalms 51:11 ‘’ Cast me not away from thy presence; and take not thy Holy Spirit from me’’ Beloved, if God abandon us as his Children, we are finished. Pray to God and say – Father, do not cast me away from your presence, let mercy speak on my behalf at all times in Jesus Name.

The mercy of God will restore to us our joy that the enemy has stolen from us and He will give us peace of mind in Jesus Name. God Has the right to show mercy on any of his Children, we must be willing to do His will and be determined to receive mercy from God. In Romans 9:15-16 it says ‘’ For he said to Moses, I will have mercy on whom I will have mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I will have compassion. So then it is not of him that willeth nor of him that runneth. But of God that showeth mercy’’

God is righteous in everything He does. We should be mindful in the way we give reply to God. In Romans 9:29c ‘’ Who art thou that repliest against God shall the thing formed say to him that formed it, why has thou made me thus? God Has pleasure in everything He does and He is rich in compassion.

Let us always recognize our fault and ask God for mercy in faithfulness. He will show us mercy in Jesus Name. Because God does not rejoice over the death of the wicked according to Ezekiel 33:11

God’s Favourite

God’s Favourite – Psalm 84; 11-12

Psalm 84; 11-12 ‘’ For the Lord God is a sun and shield: the Lord will give grace and glory: no good thing will he withhold from them that walk uprightly. O Lord of hosts, blessed is the man that trusteth in thee’’

God created everything on earth, everything He created was good but He Has children that are dear to Him. God favourites are those who do their work with full of dedication and diligences. They are those who are Selfless, sacrifices greater part of what they have in serving God and those that will go to any extent to please God and will never complain.

Living as God favourite means living a life that pleases and honour God. You will need to obey His commandment, follow His ways and serve Him faithfully with all your heart. In the hymn ‘’Trust and Obey’’ last Verse says ‘’ Then in fellowship sweet we sit at His feet, or we’ll walk by His side in the way; what He says we will do; where He sends, we will go, never fear, only trust and obey’’ Is this your confession as a child of God? If not, a change will be necessary.

Favourite means a person that is preferred above or over others of the same kind or a person well liked among others. In Gen 37:3 Jacob loved Joseph more than other of his children. Joseph was his favourites and such actions do happen in many of our different homes. Do we love God as we claim or can God call us His favourite in the midst of circumstances surrounding us?

Let us consider Abraham personality among other numerous God’s favourite children.

In Gen 12:1b God told Abram ‘’Get thee out of thy country, and from thy father’s house, unto a land that I will show thee’’. Abram obeyed God without complaining not knowing where he was going to or what he will face but he had faith in God and never feared. Can we as God’s favourite do same in a time like this?

In Gen 17:1c ‘’The Lord appeared to Abram, and said unto him, I am the Almighty God; walk before me, and be thou perfect’’ Abram walked with God perfectly in obedience and faithfulness. He believed God in all things, never doubts and never feared.

In Gen 18; 17 ‘’ And the Lord said, shall I hide from Abraham that thing which I do” It is only someone closed to God that can enjoy this compliment. For God to discuss with his creation on what He planned to do. In our level currently, do we hear from God? Or we are living our lives as it is pleasing to us not minding who owes us.

In Gen22; 16-18 God sworn and blessed Abraham and he became the father of nations. Why? He obeyed God wholeheartedly. Many of us will never do what Abraham did including me. So when will sing and claim Abraham blessings, reflect back on what Abraham did in his walk with God and apply the same. And Abraham blessings will be yours.

In Matt 22; 37 Jesus speaking said ‘’ Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind’’ Can we as believers lay claim that we have loved God will all our heart, souls and mind. What is it that is preventing us from loving our creator? Remember in Jeremiah 29; 11 God says ‘’For I know the thoughts that I think towards you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end’’. In Verse 13 it says ‘’ And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart’’ Whatever that is making us not seek Him with all our heart, God will intervene in Jesus name.

Do we really love God with all these things happening around us? The truth is that what is happening will continue to happen but those that are favourites of God will have peace of mind and God will never forsake them. In Deut 31; 8 The Lord says ‘’ And the Lord, he it is that doth go before thee; he will be with thee, he will not fail thee, neither forsake thee: fear not, neither be dismayed’’

Finally, in John 1; 12 Jesus speaking said ‘’But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name. Are we sons or daughters of God? Have you received Him or believed in Him as your Lord and personal saviour? It is not too late to do so. God bless you all.
